2-Stage LSI Process

Properties of SiC CompositesDue to its outstanding heat resistance, shock resistance, oxidation resistance, and corrosion resistance, it is applied to launch vehicles and engine parts operated under high-temperature conditions instead of convectional metal-based components.

The manufacturing process of SiC CompositeThe manufacturing processes of SiC composite are Liquid Silicon Infiltration(LSI) process, Polymer Impregnation, and Pyrolysis(PIP) process, Chemical Vapor Infiltration(CVI) process.

2 Stage LSI ProcessTo manufacture large and complex SiC composite products, we have developed a 2-Stage LSI process that is simple compared to the existing manufacturing process, has low manufacturing costs and has excellent properties under extreme temperatures.

TG-CVI Process

TG-CVI(Thermal Gradient Chemical Vapor Infiltration) is a densification method that forms carbon or SiC on carbon or SiC fiber preform. TG-CVI process developed by DACC Carbon is a groundbreaking process for manufacturing composite with a uniform internal density gradient in a short time compared to the traditional Isobaric and Isothermal Chemical Vapor Infiltration(I-CVI) process.
